For this project the entire roof covering had to be removed and re-slated with original slates after the conversion had been done. For a little extra care and attention the lead work was scalloped to give a more complete finish that compliments the style of the property (see image). Various alterations were made to dramatically change the shape of the roof to gain maximum use of space inside. The window frames used on this conversion were custom made hardwood frames with leaded glass which again compliments the look and feel of the property in its original state.
On the inside of this conversion we laid real hard wood floor and a beautiful oak staircase that blended perfectly with the existing one. We also stood up the lower sloping roof section to accommodate an extra first floor wet room. All together this added 2 large bedrooms and 2 large en-suites to a complete a beautiful property.
To achieve this conversion the original dimensions were as follows:
Front to back
12m |

Height
3.8m |

Gable wall to gable wall 10m |
