About David Wilding Loft Conversions, Plymouth

With over 40 years of combined knowledge we know that we can carry out any project set before us with the care and quality that every customer deserves. The employees of DW Lofts are all time served and know how a job should be done. We only take on enough work for the number of staff we have.

After a customer first calls to enquire about a loft conversion we will arrange an appointment (which is totally free) to come and take some measurements and inspect the proposed loft to make sure that it is possible. We will then sit down with you and listen to you to find out exactly what you are looking to acheive from your loft space. We can then give you some ideas based on the information we have gained from you. We will always remember this is your loft conversion and you should have what you want, not what we think you should have, as long as it is practical. A quote should be with you within 2 weeks and if accepted a start date can be agreed. We like to arrange for you to view 1 or 2 of our previous conversions as this gives you a chance to see the quality of our work first hand. You can also ask the owners questions like :-

  • Could you trust the tradesmen on site?
  • Do they always clean up?
  • Are the tradesmen always there?
  • Were the tradesmen polite? And so on...

This should give you a lot more reassurance about the integrity of David Wilding Lofts.

Once a job is booked a team will be designated to that job from start to finish, so the customers know who is in their home. At the start of every day dust sheets are laid to protect the customers carpets and at the end of every day the dust sheets are taken up and the carpets are hoovered, leaving the owners to carry on with their everyday lives.

A building inspector will be called in to inspect the loft at the relevant stages to make sure everything is in order.

At the end of the conversion the tradesmen will only leave when you are totally happy and the building inspector has okeyed the final inspection.

Whilst the work is being carried out you should feel free to discuss with the tradesmen on site anything that you don't fully understand i.e. room layouts, position of lights, sockets, windows etc.

From start to finish the tradesmen will always respect the property as being your home and not a building site!
